WHAT ARE THE PARK TIMINGS?

The Corbett National Park is open for visitors from 01st October to 30th June. However, Jhirna and Dhela Zone are open throughout the year (subject to rain conditions ofcourse).

WHAT ARE THE SAFARI TIMINGS FOR VISITORS?

Safaris are offered in two rounds- morning and afternoon for an approximate duration of 4 hours between sunrise and sunset. Safari timing in Corbett varies from season to season depending on sunrise and sunset times. The safari timings table is as follows:

WHAT VEHICLES ARE AVAILABLE FOR SAFARI?
  • Two types of Safari vehicles are available for safari drives. One is open jeep (4x4 petrol engine gypsy) and another is canter (open bus with diesel engine) which is only for Dhikal zone. All vehicles entering the Safari zones are government registered and need to posses valid pernits. Private vehicle entry is not allowed in the park.

  • Maximum seating capacity for canters is 16- 20 tourists and for Gypsy is 06 tourists.

  • Wildlife photographers carrying large camera kits are advised to have no more than 4 guests per safari jeep.

WHAT ARE THE REQUIRED DOCUMENTS FOR SAFARI?
  • Safari into any zone of the Corbett National Park can be availed only with a valid safari permit booked through the official Corbett Tiger Reserve website. Each safari permit permits entry to that particular zone for the booked date and time only. For online safari booking required information are Name, Age, Gender, Country, ID-Type, ID-Number. All the visitors are mandatory to carry their original ID document, during all safari drives, for verification purpose. For foreign visitors, their ID document is Passport where as for Indian tourists, documents like Adhaar Card, Driving Licenses, PAN Card, Passport, Voter-ID, School-Id, Government Issued ID etc. are accepted.

WHEN TO BOOK YOUR SAFARI?
  • Safari bookings start 30 days for Indian nationals & 45 days for foreign nationals. It is however recommended that you give us 5 more additional days in advance to ensure confirmation. Due to the popularity of safaris and limited number of vehicles permitted in each zone, permits get sold out rapidly if dealayed. Hence do plan your safaris well in advance.

SAFARI DOS AND DON’TS
  • Tourists are not allowed to get down from the vehicle under any circumstances during safari drives. Few machans are open for visitors and they can spend time there.

  • Sitting firmly inside the vehicle, remaining watchful to any dangling branches, avoiding touching of plants, eating of leaves/fruits and obeying all rules and regulations are important for your own safety. 

  • Do not carry any food items as its scent may attract animals towards you and can be dangerous. Refrain from teasing wild animals and never try to feed them.

  • Tourists should not throw any trash in any the park or in any of the areas

  • Use of mobile and specially selfie sticks to be avoided.

  • Winter garments are advised during the months of December and January.
